Avondale is a Southwest Valley city between Phoenix and Goodyear, with Interstate 10 running through its north side and Loop 101 a short drive east. That central West Valley location gives quick freeway access toward downtown Phoenix, Sky Harbor Airport and the Loop 303 corridor. Housing includes older homes near Historic Avondale along Western Avenue, subdivisions built from the 1990s through the 2010s, newer communities south of the freeway, and some townhomes. Many neighborhoods have HOAs, and some older areas do not, so check each listing.
The Agua Fria and Gila rivers meet near the south side of the city, and Estrella Mountain Regional Park is just to the southwest. Phoenix Raceway is in Avondale, and the I-10 corridor has major shopping and dining.
