Living in Buckeye, AZ

Buckeye is the westernmost city in the Phoenix metro area, stretching along Interstate 10 to the White Tank Mountains and south toward the Gila River. Most neighborhoods reach the rest of the valley by I-10, and State Route 85 runs south toward Gila Bend. Much of the West Valley's newest building is happening here. Verrado is a long-established master-planned community at the foot of the White Tanks, and Teravalis, a large Howard Hughes master plan north of I-10, opened its first village, Floreo, in late 2025.
Outside the master plans, Buckeye also has rural parcels and larger lots for buyers who want space, a shop or room for animals where zoning allows. For any home, ask about the water provider, HOA dues and any community facilities district tax. Skyline Regional Park in the White Tank foothills has hiking and mountain-bike trails.
