Living in Maricopa, AZ

Maricopa is a Pinal County city south of the Phoenix metro area. State Route 347 (John Wayne Parkway) is the main route north to Interstate 10, and SR 238 heads west toward Mobile and Gila Bend. The city also has an Amtrak station. Most homes here are in master-planned communities built from the early 2000s on, such as Rancho El Dorado, Glennwilde, Tortosa and Alterra, and several builders are still selling new homes on the edges of the city.
Expect mostly single-family homes, many with HOAs, community parks and walking paths; ask about HOA dues and any community facilities district tax before you write an offer. Copper Sky Regional Park and the city library give the area a central recreation hub. Public schools are run by the local school district, with several charter schools in town; confirm boundaries for any address with the district.
